Assistant Director for Recruitment & Outreach
The Assistant Director for Recruitment and Outreach (ADRO) is responsible for the development and management of the recruitment plan for Springfield College Wilmington, which includes the recruitment of prospective students and the development of community relationships with the College. Springfield College Wilmington is one of 7 campuses of Springfield College’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies. The ADRO serves as a professional representative of the College and its mission within the broader Wilmington DE community is to expand the region’s knowledge of Springfield College. Key Job Responsibilities: utilize relationship development and communication skills to build, maintain, and manage a strong pipeline of prospective students; utilize software to capture and track prospective student information and to organize lead follow up; compile prospective student data and provide accurate weekly data reporting to site director; work in partnership with the Director of Recruitment and Admissions and the Campus Director to establish yearly enrollment goals; establish a proven level of knowledge and proficiency in presenting and explaining degrees and other programs offered at the campus and school-wide to both prospective students and institutional partners; maintain communication with prospective students via telephone, electronic communication, and other forms of correspondence throughout the inquiry process, and up until enrollment; create opportunities for partnership development with community organizations and business partners to support student recruitment and to strengthen connections in all of the communities we serve. Proactively manage established partnerships on an ongoing basis. Coordinate and conduct open houses and community enrollment events designed to communicate the unique elements of the educational experience, to educate students on the financial aid process, and to support prospective students in their decision making process. Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and the Campus Director to maintain and improve marketing efforts, web content, publications, and other promotional efforts in support of student recruitment. Work collaboratively with site staff in the execution of new student orientation.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; Minimum of three years of prior experience with sales, recruitment or marketing in higher education or related industries; ability to positively interact, engage, and work with diverse groups of students, staff, and faculty as well as personnel from other colleges, organizations, and businesses; excellent oral, written communication and organizational skills; ability to consistently meet deadlines and accurately handle time sensitive lead information; contribute in a fast-paced, student-focused, high achieving campus team while taking the lead around student recruitment; ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals; skill in the use of computerized databases; proficiency in the use of the internet for research related to recruitment. Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and to engage in regional travel; ability to pass a background check. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree; higher education experience; proficient in social media; five or more years of sales or recruitment experience; bilingual (Spanish-English).
